Our most popular tour is approximately two hours and is filled with larger-than-life stories, interesting legends, and fun facts. The Old City Historical Tour will give you enough riding time to discover the twists, turns, secrets and satisfy your Segway appetite! Fantastic tour guides will regale you with stories and facts of our nation's birthplace as you traverse the Old City. As our nation's birthplace, it's home to major museums, renowned performing arts venues, beautiful gardens and a myriad of historical landmarks. With so much to see, there's no better way to experience it all than on a Segway.
One of the most
powerful symbols of our nation's history, this iconic item was brought to
Philadelphia in 1752. It cracked during the first strike and needed to be
recast twice. It was hidden during the Revolutionary War, and has enjoyed a
place in our nation's founding history since!
Betsy Ross House
This 18th century
house was the birthplace of the American Flag, and today the Betsy Ross House
is decorated in period furnishings and includes objects owned by Ross and her
This is the oldest bank building in America and was established to create a standard currency. It was built in 1795, while Philadelphia was still the capital of the fledgling United States. The first treasurer, Alexander Hamilton. who saw the need for this national bank, and it was founded under his guidance.
Named for Pennsylvania
founder William Penn, Penn’s Landing hosts summer concerts, and several
historic ships. The World War II submarines USS Becuna and USS Olympia, and a
Spanish American War cruiser are docked at Penn’s Landing as part of the
museum. The sailing ship, Moshulu, featured in the films Rocky & The
Godfather II, now serves as a restaurant.
Home to Samuel
Powel, the first mayor of Philadelphia after the creation of the United States,
this house played host to George Washington, John Adams and the Marquis de
Lafayette. Today the Powel House depicts the lives of the wealthy colonialists
during the Revolution.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
You'll have the time of your life under the professional guidance of our friendly and knowledgeable tour guides. As the only Segway, Inc. authorized tour in Philadelphia, we're proud to offer a Segway fleet comprised of the latest models. We follow strict maintenance guidelines put in place by Segway, Inc to assure each and every Segway runs like a dream.
Each of our Segways are equipped with a small tour bag to hold personal essentials. Your time with us will begin with a quick video and hands on training, during which you'll be provided a helmet and state-of-the-art wireless communication systems with your very own, never-used, earbud to take home. If you prefer, feel free to bring your favorite 3.5 mm jack headphones. We want you to be completely comfortable during the tour, so our comfort foot mats are an upgrade from the standard Segway mats, and flexible rescheduling will fit even the most hectic of schedules.
WHO CAN GO?
All participants must be at least 14 years old; minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 21 years or older. Unfortunately anyone under the age of 14 will not be permitted to participate.
The engineering magic behind the Segway relies on sensitive gyroscopes. In turn, participants must be at least 48" tall, and weigh at least 100 pounds and not in excess of 260 pounds.
Due to the risk to both child and mother, pregnant women are not permitted to participate on our Segway tours.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Once you have booked your tour and received a confirmation, you will need to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to tour departure for training. Please wear comfortable flat closed-toe shoes and layers of clothing appropriate for the day's expected weather as well as a bottle of water. We also recommend sunglasses and sunscreen.
